About

A monk told Joshu, “I have just entered this monastery. I beg you to teach me.” Joshu asked, “Have you eaten your rice porridge?” The monk replied, “I have.” “Then,” said Joshu, “Go and wash your bowl.” At that moment the monk was enlightened.

Question: what’s it like for you to write.

Answer: For me writing has a distinct tactile feel in my fingers. When I start a new piece I feel as if I have dipped my fingers in a number of different cans of paint and all at once I drag them across the paper, once I’m done dragging my fingers across the paper I move words around with the feel of working in clay. each word becomes real or physical.

I end up with a block of words with no paragraphs or line breaks it’s then that I will add breaks and some comas to make it more accessible to the reader.

Encourage More Comments on Your Blog

By default WordPress makes links from comments “nofollow,”  this means Google will not consider a link within the comment section worthy of note and therefore will not pass any juice or credit to that link (usually your name is linked to your website)

Bloggers who make their comment section links “follow” are encourging people to comment more becasue they will get a small pat on the back from Google each time they comment. The juice from a follow link adds up and helps your website be seen by more people.

How Do I Make My Comments “Follow”? You can switch you comment over to Intense Debate a more robust comment system that is owned by WordPress and integrates easily into your blog. You can also go to the WordPress Plugin page and do a search for “nofollow”  and look for a plugin that will work with your comment system.

If you don’t have WordPress please ask others or do a search within the forums of your particular blog. Creating “follow” comments will help every Flash Fiction blog get more comments and ranking in the search engines.

BLOGSPOT USERS… here is a link on how to make your comments “follow”     if you are not use to editing in the backend just go slow.  http://www.blogdoctor.me/2007/03/remove-nofollow-attribute-on-comments.html
